The Idea Is The Cure

The launch of 3DTV is perhaps the biggest revolution in television since the emergence of colour TV and Samsung is the first consumer electronics manufacturer to offer this exciting new technology to the Canadian market.

Elixir played a prominent role in the development of National launch support materials.

To help promote 3DTV at the retail level, the Samsung 3D Zone was created. This guerilla-style promotion featured an event team – clad in 3D Zone paraphernalia – handing out cards with custom PINs at Future Shop and Best Buy locations across Canada. Customers simply went on-line to enter the PIN from their card to give them a chance to win Samsung 3D prizes.

A comprehensive National online promotion followed, featuring expandable mastheads, skyscraper ads, big boxes, video overlays and gaming graphics. Online media vehicles included TSN, Yahoo, YouTube, MSN and Xbox.
